2024 | Mar de Fíos

Rope sculpture on canvas, the result of experimentation with dyed rope that began in Talasofilia. It is a tribute to the memory of the Prestige disaster and, at the same time, a reflection on the recent spill of pellets. The pieces, made with black-dyed jute rope, evoke nets transformed into shadows in a sea turned into a trap. The work seeks to portray an impregnated and poisoned ecosystem, highlighting the persistence of environmental damage and the urgency of collective awareness.

Selected work in the Xuventude Crea 2024 competition in the Plastic Arts category. Exhibited at the University Church of Santiago de Compostela.

Materials: Rope sculpture on wooden frame.

Dimensions: 105 x 50 x 70 cm
